Welcome Retreat — An Exciting Beginning!

Last weekend, Eden Fellows officially launched with our welcome retreat, and what a wonderful weekend it was! Years’ worth of planning and dreaming and praying and working all culminated in this incredibly exciting moment, when Eden Fellows went from being theory to being a reality right at hand.

In addition to simply hanging out and getting a chance to get to know each other over stovetop s’mores or under the gorgeous shooting stars of the West Texas night sky, we really dove deep with an exploration of what Fellows is all about and what journey each of us has followed to bring us to it. We cooked and ate lots of good food together (something I’m sensing might be a theme for the year!). We spent copious time in conversation, storytelling, and worship together. We tromped around at the Eden Center to share the vision for what it might become, and then on Sunday we joined the Eden Community for lunch and worship. In short, we launched the year right!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to spend more time with these courageous adventurers in our first cohort! Mason, Arnold, and Jared are incredible, passionate, Christlike young men who are serving the church and the world in so many wonderful ways already.
